have an old t-shirt? have 10 spare minutes? this t-shirt necklace/scarf is übereasy and cheap. to prove it, here's the five easy steps to creating this funky accessory:
1. find an old t-shirt (below: a nasty, old forever21 t-shirt that never fit correctly) and a pair of scissors; fabric scissors are preferable
2. cut off the hem. easy, right?
3. cut the entire shirt horizontally to make "loops" of fabric.
4. stretch the fabric "loops" until they curl. almost done...
5. with a 6-inch strip of fabric, from the t-shirt or another colorful, patterned piece, wrap the "loops" together and tuck in the ends.
voilà!
too simple, right? i can't wait to wear mine with a summery tank or use it to spruce up a boring tee. i dare you to make this necklace/scarf next time you're ready to part with an old t-shirt.
